![]() ![]() I suppose I missed the discussion you mentioned. ![]() You will likely dislike it more further down the line than you do here, and playing a game you don't like is just silly. The gameplay you are expecting is directly opposed to the ethos that is the foundation for this game's design. So if the Stag Door is where you truly draw the line in the sand, I honestly recommend you play a different game. Figuring out exactly what goes where, with who and how, while trying to juggle multiple cards with timers is a difficult task, and you will probably fail it and be sent back to square one several times, losing an hour of play here and there while trying it. With that being said, Dande313 is also completely correct that the Stag Door riddle is child's play compared to completing the victory conditions. What matters most is that the player enjoy the game, and if that requires that the wiki be used, then that's how it is. It's not how the game is supposed to be played, no, but neither the devs or anyone else has any right to say that you can't. I'm in agreement with what Dande313 said. I don't recommend looking at it without at least attempting to solve whatever issue you're having, but by the same token, at some point the frustration outweighs the loss of the reward for figuring out whatever the challenge is.Īnd you have to decide what that point is for yourself. All your questions are just answered there. But if you feel it was too obscure, then that means I did it correctly. If you feel my hint was too heavy handed, then by all means, I apologize. We do strive to be at least somewhat circumspect in offering assistance. My screen just displays elitism in the form of "this is how you do it, it's easy, look how evident it is (in hindsight) for those of us".Īnyway, thanks for the foreknowledge, and pointing out 6 intuitively follows 4 and 2 even though this game is not intended to be intuitive. Feel free to offer some suggestions if you think you could improve it.īut as you do, please bear in mind that this is an experimental game designed to serve a rather underserved market in the gaming industry. What we are suggesting, is that perhaps you should consider some measure of acceptance that maybe, just maybe, you might have missed some of the clues that were presented to you (by the game).Ĭould the challenge have been presented better? Perhaps. We're not suggesting that the game is flawless. Just some measure of acceptance that maybe, just maybe, this challenge could've been designed better.īut how dare I criticise the enshrined mechanics? How dare I produce something other than blind praise? Originally posted by Shadow:I'm not interested in blind agreement. ![]()
